Ready to move beyond scarves and hats and learn how a sweater actually comes together?
In this three-session intermediate beginner workshop, we’ll knit the Roomy Raglan Jr. by Jules Efterfield, the designer behind the wildly popular Roomy Raglan and a favorite among the KnitTok knitting community. Worked in bulky-weight yarn with surprisingly little yardage, this child-size version knits up quickly, making it a great way to learn sweater construction without the time or yarn commitment of an adult-size garment.
Over three 2-hour sessions, you’ll learn how to read and follow a sweater pattern, work in the round, create raglan shaping and increases, work German short rows to shape the neckline, separate the body and sleeves, pick up stitches, and finish your sweater.
By the time you’re finished, you’ll understand how a top-down raglan sweater comes together and have the skills and confidence to move on to an adult-size sweater, including the original Roomy Raglan.
Make it a stash-buster by combining leftover yarns and scraps for a one-of-a-kind sweater, or choose yarn for your project at w o o l . Yarn and supplies are not included in the class fee.
Class size: limited to 6
yarn in sample shown is Lang Cloud
