Discover the art of turning wool fiber into your own handspun yarn in this beginner-friendly workshop with Sophie Kuperman of Sophie Rose Fiber Works.
Working with a drop spindle, participants will learn the fundamentals of hand spinning, including drafting fiber, adding twist, and creating yarn. Sophie will guide you through each step, sharing techniques and an introduction to this traditional craft.
With a small group, there will be plenty of opportunity for individual instruction and hands-on practice. No previous spinning experience
is necessary.
Included with the workshop: Each participant will receive a 4 oz. braid of beautifully hand-dyed wool fiber from Sophie Rose Fiber Works.
Drop spindles will be provided for use during class and available for purchase afterward.
All skill levels welcome.
